The U.S. version of Kimbra‘s long awaited release, Vows, hits stores tomorrow.
Fans who had the foresight to get their hands on the limited edition Australian import that was released last year will notice that the U.S. version is vastly different (If you don’t have the import, it’s highly recommended. It includes a bonus DVD “Live At Sing Sing.”).
Six new tracks include “Something in the Way You Are”, “Come Into My Head” (sounds like a Nikka Costa jam), “Sally I Can See You”, “Posse”, “Home”, and “Warrior” (maybe my favorite of the new tracks).
I’m sure there will be many disappointed that “Somebody That I Used To Know”, her smash with Gotye, is not on the album, but it more than holds its own with standouts such as “Settle Down”, “Cameo Lover”, “Old Flame”, and “Two Way Street”. Left off the U.S. release are “Call Me”, “Withdraw”, and surprisingly, “Limbo” and “Wandering Limbs”.
All in all, this is a ‘must have’ album….even if you already own the import. Be sure to listen to Sirens of Song Radio to hear tracks from the album!
